About Us

Founded in May 2016 and officially registered as a non-profit organization (#270801219) on July 27, 2017, Ao Dai Canada (ADC) is a Toronto-based organization devoted to the preservation and celebration of Vietnamese culture. Our mission goes beyond cultural heritage — we are equally committed to raising awareness and taking action against human trafficking and child exploitation.

Operating with a non-political and non-profit mandate, Ao Dai Canada provides meaningful opportunities for youth and community members to engage in both cultural expression and humanitarian outreach. Through our programs, events, and advocacy, we aim to foster greater understanding of Vietnamese traditions while contributing to global efforts for justice and human dignity.

We are always looking for passionate individuals to join our cause — whether you're a model, designer, artist, or volunteer, if you have a love for arts, culture, or humanitarian work, we welcome you with open arms. Let’s make a difference together.

Our Mission
At Ao Dai Canada, our mission is to preserve and promote the richness of Vietnamese culture — with a special focus on the iconic Ao Dai costume — while actively supporting charitable causes, particularly the fight against human trafficking and child exploitation.
Our Vision
We envision the Ao Dai not only as a symbol of national pride but as a bridge that connects cultures, builds understanding, and unites communities. Through cultural exchange and collective action, we strive to build a strong, compassionate, and united Vietnamese - Canadian community in Canada — one rooted in empathy, connection, and shared values.
What We Do

1
Promoting and preserving
Ao Dai
We curate and host cultural events, exhibitions, and educational programs that celebrate the beauty and heritage of the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai. Through these initiatives, we aim to highlight its cultural significance and encourage its presence at meaningful occasions within the Vietnamese community.

2
Conducting charity programs
We actively organize and participate in charitable initiatives aimed at supporting individuals facing challenging life circumstances — with a special focus on survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence. Through compassion-driven programs, we strive to bring hope, healing, and empowerment to those in need.

3
Organizing cultural events
We organize vibrant cultural events — including festivals, exhibitions, and artistic performances — to showcase and celebrate the richness of Vietnamese heritage. Through these initiatives, we also aim to foster unity, strengthen connections, and build a supportive, intergenerational Vietnamese community across Canada.
